- •Trans-led community here organizes around mutual aid, immigration support, and healthcare access, much of it serving Black trans women and Latina trans migrants. Support local orgs directly — donations and volunteer time, not just nightlife dollars.
Best time to visit
A perfect queer weekend: Friday, sunset drinks at Sweet Liberty, dinner in Wynwood, then Double Stubble at Gramps. Saturday, Cuban coffee and Azucar in Little Havana by day, a Little Haiti cultural stop, R House or Palace drag by night, and Club Space until sunrise. Sunday, a slow drag brunch on Ocean Drive, the Books & Books courtyard to recover, then the beach.
Getting around
South Beach is walkable and best done on foot or by bike; everything else — Wynwood, Little Havana, Little Haiti, Downtown — is a short rideshare apart. Late-night rideshare surges around the club districts, so plan your exit.
