The Queer Route is a free resource for LGBTQ+ travelers, and we use affiliate links to help fund the guides, app, and community work we do. This page explains exactly what that means.

What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a special URL that tracks when someone clicks from our site and makes a purchase or booking on a partner's site. If you buy something after clicking one of our links, we may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you.

Our current affiliate partners

• Viator, a Tripadvisor company (via Awin) — tours, activities, and travel experiences worldwide.
• Tiqets — skip-the-line tickets for museums, landmarks, attractions, and city tours.
• Klook — experiences, tours, attraction passes, food tours, and day trips.
• Go City (via Travelpayouts) — all-inclusive attraction passes in select cities such as Orlando, San Diego, and San Francisco.
• Airalo — eSIM data plans that keep you connected in 200+ countries without swapping a physical SIM.

We only partner with services we believe are genuinely useful to LGBTQ+ travelers. As we add more partners (hotels, experiences, transportation), we will list them here.

Editorial independence

Affiliate relationships do not influence what we write about, which venues we feature, or how we rank them. Our city guides, bar lists, and blog posts are written for the community first. Commissions are a bonus, not a decision-maker.

How to identify affiliate links

Affiliate links on The Queer Route are marked with rel="sponsored" and include a clear disclosure near the link, such as "Affiliate link — supports the guides."
