We are building the definitive travel infrastructure for the LGBTQ+ community: a real-time, community-owned map of verified safe spaces in every city we call home. Our mission is simple — every queer traveler should walk into every room already knowing they belong there.
We are not another review app. We are a growing community of travelers and merchants who want to be seen as safe. Everything on The Queer Route is vetted by the people who actually go there.

Every pin, every review, every safety rating comes from the community. We don't sell placements to the highest bidder.
Radical inclusion
Trans, nonbinary, BIPOC queer, disabled, and elder voices are foundational — not an afterthought.

Algorithms should not define our spaces. We are taking the map back — one venue, one review at a time.
Our story
As a Black queer founder, The Queer Route was born out of personal necessity. After years of navigating discrimination even within spaces labeled "LGBTQ+-friendly," I learned firsthand that having a rainbow flag in the window doesn't automatically mean a venue is safe or welcoming for everyone. Those lived experiences fueled a mission: to build a real-time, community-verified platform so no traveler has to guess if a space is actually safe for them.
The Queer Route launched in July 2026, starting in Austin. Today, travelers can download the iOS app or use the web app on Android, while we work toward a Google Play release.
